Born in Kitchener, Canada, Diane grew up in various Southwestern Ontario small towns before going to college at Columbia University and getting her B.A. in Film Studies and Literature/Writing. She then pursued her M.F.A. in Writing for the Screen + Stage at Northwestern University. Diane now makes her home in Toronto, Canada.
