Richard was one of those promising talents which dotted the Hollywood landscape in its golden age. Despite his striking looks, Richard Haydel did not live to realize a solid career in the movies. He played few significant parts in his short career. He died of an acute respiratory infection in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 22.
