Areti is a first-generation American born and raised in Colorado. Her mother is from Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland and her father is from Lamia, Greece. She is the third of six children. Areti attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where she received a BA in French and Italian and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
