Lynn Cruz was born in Matanzas, Cuba. Her feature film debut was in the role of Barbara in the film Larga Distancia, a role for which she received acclaimed in Cuban press. She then was cast as the lead in the science fiction film Corazon Azul, which began filming in 2012 in Havana.
