Edie was born in Birmingham, Alabama to parents, Paul and Jami Hovey. She has two sisters, Kaytie and Jacquelyn, and one brother, Bradley. She attended Auburn University and graduated in May 2012. Her passion and love of film developed at the young age of three, beginning with her adoration of Walt Disney's "Beauty and the Beast."
