Erin graduated high school from Norfolk Academy in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1988, and received her BA in Music (voice and harpsichord) from William and Mary in 1992. When she won on Jeopardy, she used her prize money to produce her first album, Garnet, which consists of twelve songs that she wrote, sang, and played on keyboards.
